MMI Charities Announces Winter Raffle Winner Print E-mail

CLEVELAND, OH, February 13, 2008 – MMI Charities, the non-profit organization of Merrymeeting®, Inc. (MMI), and Orphans Against AIDS are pleased to announce that John Ronk is the winner of the Winter Raffle. Ronk, owner of six Frontier Adjusters® offices in Illinois, won one week of accommodations at a condominium in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

“I am thrilled that thirty-two of our franchisees participated in the Winter Raffle,” stated Allyn Davies, Chairperson of MMI Charities. “The support of our franchisees totaled $3,000, which will support high school education of orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa. MMI Charities will match the franchisees’ donation to bring the total donation to $6,000.”

MMI Charities sold $25 raffle tickets to MMI franchisees for a chance to win a week’s lodging in Hilton Head. The $25 donation is equivalent to the cost of one year of secondary school tuition in South Africa.

“We have also partnered with the Hollard Foundation in South Africa, which will match our collective donation,” added Davies. “This means that a total of $12,000 will be donated to enable 480 kids to attend one year of high school!”
