CHESAPEAKE, VA, November 5, 2007 – In honor of Veteran’s Day on November 12th, MTOclean of Chesapeake is offering 10% off of all services to local veterans and military personnel. MTOclean is also extending its Gift Certificate Program, normally reserved for current customers only, offering a $50 gift certificate for just $25. The MTOclean Veteran Discount Program will run the entire month of November and gift certificates will remain valid for one year. “This is a chance for MTOclean to thank the veterans and military personnel in our community for their sacrifice and service to our country,” stated Juanita Winter, Franchise Manager of MTOclean of Chesapeake. “Former Navy radioman myself, I understand more than most that these individuals deserve the peace of mind and free time our services provide.” Veteran’s Day became a national holiday in 1938 originating as “Armistice Day” on the first anniversary of the end of World War I. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower changed the name to Veteran’s Day, to honor those who served in all American wars. In 2006, there were an estimated 23.7 million Veterans living in the United States with over 1.4 million military personnel currently on active duty in the military.
